Decadence is always unsustainable. The definition of decadence is consuming more than one is producing in life, with the assumption that this is how life is meant to be.


Decadence signified lack of growth, negative growth.


The current standard, while still very low, is hgher than any thing I've ever realized before in terms of house cleaning and waking hours, so it feels like enough.


But something can both "feel like enough" and not be enough and be settling.
